Moss apprentices earn a bonus for every 72 hours of Related Technical Instruction completed.
Apprentices are prepared for success at Moss. Two occupation paths are available: Solar Installer and Construction Craft Laborer.
Apprentices are taught leadership skills and prepare for advancement in their career.
Upon completion of the program, apprentices receive a nationally recognized apprenticeship certificate.
Our two year program allows you to earn while you learn. You'll receive 4,000 hours of On-the-Job training and 288 hours of classroom-style Related Technical Instruction (RTI).

Signing Day
November 17 & 18, 2022
Moss enrolled the first 20 participants in our innovative solar apprenticeship program. A signing day took place in Gainesville, Florida with a dinner at Dave and Busters the night before. This program will train the future leaders of the booming utility-scale solar energy construction field.
In-Person Training
March 27-31, 2023 | April 3-7, 2023 | April 10-14, 2023
A total of 52 apprentices attended a week-long in-person training in March/April where they earned hours towards their 288 hours of related technical instruction. During this training, they learned essential skills such as CPR, first aid, communication, and heavy equipment operation. Training was held at the Florida Solar Energy Center in Cocoa.

A total of 25 apprentices attended a week-long in-person training in April where they earned hours towards their 288 hours of Related Technical Training (RTI). The training was held at the Florida Solar Energy Center in Cocoa.
